PUTRAJAYA – The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has submitted an application for media practitioners to be prioritised in Phase 2 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said he has requested for this group to receive vaccinations early, as they are also considered frontliners.
“I deferred (receiving the) vaccine because I want to be vaccinated together with the media. When I get mine, the media will also get it, in Phase 2.
“Inshaallah… we have asked for it to be sped up for the media, as they are also frontliners,” he told a press conference here today.
Phase 2 – which will see senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with chronic diseases getting the jab – begins tomorrow in eight states, namely Kedah, Melaka, Penang, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Labuan. – Bernama, April 18, 2021
