KUALA LUMPUR – Birthday wishes for Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah have been pouring in on social media, with prayers that he stays strong in the fight against Covid-19.
The health director-general turns 58 today.
Among the wishes posted to his Facebook page are comments from netizens saying they miss watching him on TV every afternoon to update Malaysians on the country’s daily coronavirus numbers.
“Happy birthday, Tan Sri! Wish you good health, happiness and success in all your endeavours,” said Megha Sivaram.
“Happy birthday, (Tan Sri), may Allah bless you and your team, who have always been on the front line of this war,” said Mohd Adzlan Omar.
Zahriah Mohd Shariff said: “Happy birthday, Tan Sri. May you be blessed with good health to continue serving the country. Amin.”
Dr Noor Hisham told Bernama that his birthday wish is for everyone to stay united in combating the pandemic.
“Alhamdulillah and thank you (for all the wishes). Coming together will make us stronger in the fight against Covid-19.”
The last time Dr Noor Hisham appeared on TV for his daily press conference on Covid-19 was on March 4.
