SHAH ALAM – Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari today announced a special one-time handout of half a month’s salary, or a minimum of RM1,000, for state civil servants in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri to be paid on May 19.

He said the aid would also be extended to state executive councillors, the speaker and deputy speaker, state assemblymen, top management, and members of the state government service, with an estimated allocation of RM22.675 million.

Community leaders, including chairmen of the village community management councils (MPKK), new villages’ liaison officers, Indian communities’ heads, and women empowerment programme supervisors will also receive RM1,000.

Amiruddin said this at the Mahabbah Ramadan event for state civil servants today.

Apart from that, he said the MPKK secretary and mosque officials, including imam, will receive RM500 through the state government subsidiaries’ corporate social responsibility programmes.

As at April 15, the state government has recorded a revenue collection of RM853.31 million or 38.79% of the estimated revenue of RM2.20 billion for 2021, a decrease of 19.39% compared with the same period last year, he added. – Bernama, April 23, 2021
