KOTA KINABALU – Sabah civil servants in Grades 54 and below will receive a special RM500 Hari Raya Aidilfitri aid from the state administration.
The aid will also be given to those in statutory and local government bodies.
State government pensioners, meanwhile, will get RM250.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor made the announcement following one by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday.
The payment will be made along with state civil servants’ salary on May 7, said Hajiji in a statement today.
“The aid is a sign of the (state) government’s appreciation for the service and sacrifices of civil servants in carrying out their duties to the people amid the Covid-19 pandemic.”
The aid will benefit over 20,000 people in Sabah’s civil service. – The Vibes, April 23, 2021
