KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor again racked up the highest daily number of Covid-19 cases today with 762 infections of the nation’s total of 2,776.
This takes the cumulative total of virus cases to 395,718.
Of the new cases, only three are imported.
The Health Ministry said 13 fatalities were also recorded, taking the death toll to 1,449.
It said there were also 1,803 recoveries in the past 24 hours, while 300 remain in intensive care and 133 require breathing support.
Meanwhile, Sarawak recorded 615 infections, followed by Kelantan (343), Johor (309), Kuala Lumpur (254), Penang (123) and Negri Sembilan (112).
Other states that saw less than 100 cases are Sabah (88), Perak (45), Kedah (39), Melaka (34), Pahang (34), Terengganu (9), Putrajaya (7) and Labuan (2).
Perlis logged no new cases today.
The ministry said 12 new virus clusters were identified, taking the total number of active clusters to 358.
Of the total, 64 clusters recorded new cases, with the most cases seen in the Jalan Raja Bukit Pasir cluster, which recorded 148 cases, Kg Batu Sembilan (52) and Tg Kupang construction site (41).
Five of them – the Jalan Wawasan Dua, Jalan Bukit Tiga, Jalan Bachok, Seksyen 16, and Jalan Setia Jaya clusters – have ended. – The Vibes, April 26, 2021
