KOTA KINABALU - The Kota Belud district will be put under the conditional movement control order (CMCO), effective from 12.01am on October 13 until October 26, following an increase in the number of Covid 19 cases being detected in the district.

On Sunday there were another three new cases recorded.

Among the restrictions under CMCO would be, only two persons from a household will be allowed to go out to buy essentials, and no dine-in will be allowed at restaurants, and only takeaways, deliveries, and drives-in would be permitted.

Essential services such as grocery outlets, clinics and pharmacies would remain open, but schools, places of worship and all sports, recreational, and social and cultural activities will not be permitted.

Out of the 568 Covid-19 cases recorded nationwide as of noon today, 488 were from Sabah, which also recorded two deaths.

Three new clusters have been identified today, in the state's east coast.

According to information released by the Health Ministry and Sabah Health Department, the new clusters are the Kasih and Khazanah clusters located in Lahad Datu and the Surat cluster in Sandakan.

The Surat cluster recorded 22 Covid-19 cases, the Kasih cluster (15), and the Khazanah cluster (13).
