KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor’s economic activities including manufacturing will remain open during the movement control order, except those in the negative list.
The International Trade and Industry Ministry said in a statement that companies will have to comply with work-from-home regulations – having only 30% of its management staff on premises.
It added that there are no restrictions on working hours, while it is up to the discretion of employers to allow for operations and support staff to continue working.
Any company found in violation of the standard operating procedures will face legal action, including temporary suspension.
The ministry said details will be made available at the National Security Council website.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday announced the MCO for six Selangor districts – Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang. The two-week restriction will start tomorrow.
