KUALA LUMPUR – Effective Monday, all interstate and inter-district activities nationwide will not be allowed without police permission, said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Ismail Sabri in a statement today said the enforcement covers all states under movement control orders (MCOs), recovery MCOs, conditional MCOs and enhanced MCOs for four weeks until June 6.
“Among the activities that are not allowed (during the period) are social activities, such as weddings, as well as other economic, education and entertainment activities that involve crowds and public gatherings.”
Apart from that, he said, government and private sector official and social face-to-face events are also not allowed.
The restrictions will be reviewed after two weeks, he added. – Bernama, May 8, 2021
