KUALA LUMPUR – Some 45 summonses have been issued to business owners and visitors of the Jalan Margosa morning market during an SOP-monitoring operation in Sri Damansara.
Officers from the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters and the city council conducted a raid at the market to ensure that SOPs were adhered to following the surge in Covid-19 cases in recent weeks.
Of the 45 summonses, 13 were issued to business owners who failed to prepare MySejahtera QR codes and temperature scanners, while two visitors were issued summonses for failing to scan the MySejahtera QR code.
At the same time, 30 summonses were issued to unlicensed businesses operating in the market.
Meanwhile, the authorities confiscated goods belonging to a foreigner operating in the market after the individual fled the scene.
The authorities again reminded the public and business owners to strictly adhere to the SOPs in place. – The Vibes, May 21, 2021
