KUALA LUMPUR – Seven new directors have been appointed in police’s latest transfer exercise involving 61 senior officers, effective July 1.
Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) director Datuk Zamri Yahya will take charge as Special Branch director, and Management Department director Datuk Ramli Din will be Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director, replacing Datuk Zainal Abidin Kasim, who will take on the post of Internal Security and Public Order Department (JKDNKA) director.
Management Department administration police chief (CP) Datuk Zaini Jass will be its new director, Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan is appointed Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director, JKDNKA (operations) deputy director Datuk Azri Ahmad is the incoming JIPS director, and Commercial Crime Investigation Department deputy director Datuk Mohd Kamarudin Md Din has been promoted to the post of department director.
The police corporate communications secretariat’s A. Skandaguru, in a statement last night, said Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Azisman Alias will stay in the post, but with the rank of acting CP.
He said JKDNKA (special operations force) deputy director Datuk Mastor Mohd Ariff will become its deputy director (operations) with the rank of acting CP, while the police force’s secretary Datuk Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf will be Pahang top cop with the rank of acting CP.
Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (forfeiture of property/legal/detention) Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat has been made Kedah police chief with the rank of acting CP, and Terengganu deputy police chief Datuk Rohaimi Md Isa will head the state contingent with the rank of acting deputy CP.
Pahang CID chief Datuk Othman Nanyan is the new police secretary with the rank of acting deputy CP. – Bernama, June 1, 2021
