MIRI – Sarawak recorded 707 new coronavirus cases today, with 247 infections in Kuching alone, while other districts have fewer than 100 each.

It also logged one fresh fatality, bringing the death toll to 327 in the state.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee in a statement today said the victim was an 83-year-old man who died at Sri Aman Hospital.

After Kuching, Bintulu has the most daily infections with 88, followed by Sri Aman (53), Miri (46), Song (43), Subis (40), Kapit (30) and Mukah (25), while other districts have fewer than 20 each.

The committee said there is a new longhouse cluster in Beluru, the Ulu Teru cluster, which recorded 46 cases following a recent social gathering.
