KUALA LUMPUR – Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement today, the ministry said Fadillah underwent testing at 10.15am yesterday, adding that such screening is carried out at his office from time to time.
He received the test result last night.
The minister has been tested several times prior, with the previous results returning negative, said the statement.
“Fadillah is in stable condition. He apologises for any inconvenience caused. He also prays that Allah SWT will help ease matters for all those involved in the situation.”
He will undergo quarantine at home, as advised by the Health Ministry, as he is asymptomatic.
Fadillah will continue to monitor ministry affairs during this period, said the statement. – Bernama, June 11, 2021
