KUALA LUMPUR – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob issued a stern warning to businesses and factories that continue to flout standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the National Recovery Plan, calling them a “greedy lot”.
Ismail Sabri in a Facebook post yesterday said 180 business premises and factories were ordered to close on Wednesday for failing to comply with the directives and SOPs.
“Don’t challenge the government’s directives. This is my warning to business premises and factories that are still defiant by violating SOPs.
“If the people can be patient, why are there still parties being stubborn, and who keep being the main contributors (to Covid-19 cases and clusters)?
“I am very appreciative of netizens, residents and the people who constantly provide information on this greedy lot to the authorities.” – Bernama, July 16, 2021
