KUALA LUMPUR – Pakatan Harapan Youth and Amanah Youth chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin is currently in critical condition after contracting Covid-19 five days ago.
Amanah Youth secretary Asim Abdullah Ainullotfi confirmed that Shazni is currently very weak and has been classified as a Category 4 patient.
Category 4 patients are symptomatic, having contracted lung infections that make ventilator support necessary.
Asim also confirmed that Shazni’s wife and children had also tested positive for the virus and are currently in quarantine at their home while awaiting further instructions from health authorities.
“We ask for prayers and support from everyone so he can make a quick recovery.
“At the same time, those who want to lighten the family’s burden as they face this difficult time may channel aid to his wife,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Five days earlier, Shazni had announced that he had contracted the virus after experiencing symptoms including high fever and body aches. – The Vibes, July 24, 2021
