KUANTAN – A total of 1,840 Felda Sg Panching Selatan and Panching low-cost public housing (PAKR) residents here will be vaccinated under the Covid-19 Civil-Military Cooperation (Cimic) immunisation programme organised by the Malaysian Joint Forces Command.
The Joint Forces Command said in a statement that the three-day programme beginning today at the Felda Sg Panching Selatan Semai Bakti hall would hopefully speed up the immunisation programme and help achieve herd immunity in the Kuantan district and Pahang in general.
Under the programme, the Kuantan district health office will provide the vaccines and medical staff for about 600 residents to be vaccinated daily, with administering of the second dose expected to begin on August 24.
Also, the Felda management as well as the Sg Panching Selatan and PAKR security and development committees have come together to make this programme a success.
The Joint Forces Command will continue to implement the high-impact programme for Malaysians through the Cimic programme in the future, according to the statement. – Bernama, August 3, 2021
