Hulu Langat CAC director dies of Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR – Hulu Langat Covid-19 assessment centre (CAC) director Afizan Mohamad succumbed to the virus at midnight in the intensive care unit ward in Serdang Hospital.

He was also an environmental health officer in Hulu Langat, said Malaysian Association of Environmental Health in a tribute.

He was also a Covid-19 frontliner.

A CAC is where those found positive for Covid-19 are funnelled through; anyone found positive typically goes to a CAC to determine the severity of their condition.

Officers then decide if patients can observe home quarantine or be admitted to a hospital or a -risk treatment centre.

Yesterday Malaysia had a record-high daily death toll of 360, bringing the cumulative to 10,749. – The Vibes, August 9, 2021
