KUALA LUMPUR – A recent clinical analysis on the Covid-19 death toll found that 80 victims, or 0.6%, were partially vaccinated, while four were fully immunised (0.03%), said Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. 

“The ‘breakthrough deaths’ showed that among the overall 12,993 deaths recorded, 80 cases had been partially vaccinated (0.6%) and 4 had full vaccination (0.03%),” he tweeted this morning.

He told The Vibes that the Health Ministry is waiting for more data before considering administering booster shots to medical frontliners in September or October.

Malaysia yesterday recorded 293 coronavirus fatalities, with 44 victims brought to hospital dead – adding to the 801 victims who were dead on arrival within a month.
