KUALA LUMPUR – Walk-ins for Malaysian Covid-19 vaccine recipients in the Klang Valley will be limited to 13 vaccination centres (PPVs) starting next week while non-citizens will have to revert to the appointment system for the Bukit Jalil national stadium PPV after today.
This is to ensure that the vaccination process for non-citizens will continue in a more orderly fashion, said the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) in a statement today.
Malaysians and non-citizens heading to the 13 PPVs and the Bukit Jalil national stadium must prove they are Klang Valley residents with documentation, such as work passes and utility bills.
Walk-ins for Malaysians outside the Klang Valley will continue as usual.
Last night, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah tweeted that PPVs will be gradually closed, allowing the Health Ministry and private medical practitioners to take over.

ProtectHealth through the private medical practitioner has performed an outstanding job in assisting the government in achieving vaccination target in Selangor and Klang Valley.
“Moving forward we will be gradually closing down the PPVs. MoH with the private medical practitioners will do the mopping up & for the future needs, which will arise from the newly eligible vaccinees, new registrants in MySejahtera, the 12- to 17-year-old & the potential booster dose.”
Meanwhile, recipients who missed their second dose appointments can head to any of the 13 PPVs for their shots. If the PPV does not have the vaccine brand needed, recipients will be referred to another PPV.
The walk-in system is also based on a first come, first serve basis, depending on vaccine supply at the PPVs. Those who miss out will be placed on a list and asked to return the next day for their jabs.
