KOTA BARU – The Kelantan government is prepared to buy Covid-19 vaccines on its own if the supply provided by Putrajaya is not enough, said state Local Government, Housing and Health Committee chairman Dr Izani Husin.
In such a situation, the state administration is prepared to buy any vaccine brand, including Pfizer, Sinovac and CanSino, he told the press after the opening of the state assembly here today.
“If we see that the supply is decreasing, but Covid-19 cases continue to increase, the state government will not hesitate to buy its own vaccines.
“We are doing the calculations now. Should we not get the supply as expected, we have to top it up.” – Bernama, August 23, 2021
