KUALA LUMPUR – Former defence forces chief Tan Sri Mohd Ghazali Mohd Seth died at the Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur hospital this morning. He was 92.
The Malaysian Armed Forces public affairs division in a statement today said Ghazali – the seventh armed forces chief – was laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery this afternoon.
“Funeral rites were conducted in full compliance with National Recovery Plan standard operating procedures at about 2.30pm at the Khalid Al-Walid Mosque today.
“After prayers were completed, the deceased was buried at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery in the presence of his closest family members.”
The statement said defence forces chief Tan Sri Affendi Buang and the entire armed forces personnel express their condolences to Ghazali’s family, along with their prayers that he will be placed among the righteous. – Bernama, August 24, 2021
