9 Sabah, Pahang localities under EMCO from Aug 26

KUALA LUMPUR – Six more localities in Sabah and three in Pahang will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Thursday until September 8, according to the National Security Council (NSC) today.

NSC director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad said the affected localities in Sabah include Kg Sentosa Blok 4 and Batu 2, Lorong Saddani, in Tawau, and Kg Sayap and Kg Rampayan Laut in Kota Belud.

The EMCO also affects Kilang Mee Tien Hock quarters in Penampang and Taman Sri Panglima in Beaufort.

In Pahang, the three localities involved are Kg Sg Kabuk, Kg Sg Tiang and Kg Sg Chohong in Ulu Telom, Cameron Highlands.

Rodzi also said the EMCO in six localities in Sabah, scheduled to end tomorrow, has been extended until September 8.

They are Kg Pulau Penampang and Kg Gudon in Manggatal; Kg Lobou in Kota Kinabalu; Kg Menunggui (Kota Belud); Kg Tengah in Kinarut (Papar), and Kg Timbua-Kembiroi-Lobou Baru (Ranau).

Meanwhile, 18 localities in which the EMCO will end tomorrow include Felda Jengka 25, Temerloh, and Felda Tersang 1, 2 and 3, in Raub, Pahang; and Ladang Kerilla, Tanah Merah, and Kg Kubang Sawa, Tumpat, in Kelantan.

Also scheduled to exit lockdowns are several localities in Sabah, including Bandar Sierra, Kg Kalansanan, Bandaran Segama, Taman Bukit Setia, Taman Putera Jaya and Kilang J&L quarters in Kota Kinabalu; Kg Petagas (Putatan); Kg Pogunon (Penampang); and Kg Batu 1 (Sipitang).

The EMCO will also come to an end in Kg Bukit Kukusan (Tawau); Kg Batu-Batu (Tenom); Kg Tempasuk 1 and Kg Tambulaung (Kota Belud), as well as Kg Tagibang (Kota Marudu). – Bernama, August 24, 2021
