National Security Council director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad said this involves Kg Tinongian and Kg Karagasan in Ranau, Sabah, where the EMCO began on September 26.

In a statement on the EMCO today, he said another locality in Sabah to end its EMCO tomorrow is the Bornion Timber Sdn Bhd base camp in Keningau, whose lockdown began on the same date.

In Pahang, the localities involved include Kg Pasu and Kg Penderas in Kuala Krau, where the lockdown began on September 12, as well as Rumah Pangsa Jalan Karak in Mentakab, whose EMCO began on September 26.

Apart from that, Rodzi said after evaluating analysis of the risk and trends of COVID-19 infection from the Health Ministry, the EMCO in several localities in Pahang, which were scheduled to end tomorrow, has been extended till October 23.

Localities involved include Pos Sinderut and the Orang Asli villages in Pos Lenjang and Pos Titom, all of them in Lipis, Pahang. – Bernama, October 8, 2021
