KUALA LUMPUR – Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi may have been successful in ousting Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister, but his work is far from over.
Taking to Facebook, the Bagan Datuk MP addressed questions from supporters following the fall of the Muhyiddin-led Perikatan Nasional administration.
Zahid’s main message is that “nothing will change”, in that the nation and people remain the top priorities.
“(I will) continue observing, giving views and advice whenever necessary.
“The intention is to assist the new government in curbing the spread of Covid-19 and revamping the national economy.
"The same applies to the welfare of the rakyat, which must be given serious attention.”
This approach is in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decree for all parties to work together to heal Malaysia.
“We place the greatest hopes on the new government under a new prime minister,” said Zahid. – The Vibes, August 29, 2021
