KUALA LUMPUR – Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri is tipped to resign as National Film Development Corporation (Finas) chief executive.
According to The Vibes’ Bahasa Malaysia sister publication Getaran, Idham had expressed his intention to step down as Finas CEO during a meeting on Thursday.
Finas chairman Datuk Zakaria Abdul Hamid had confirmed the matter, which marks the second time Idham has departed from the government body.
“Members of the corporation have agreed to release Idham and fully support his next career path,” Zakaria said.
“A letter on the corporation’s decision will immediately be submitted to Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa for final approval.”
Idham was first appointed Finas CEO on March 11, 2019. However, on December 9 the same year, he asked for his service to be shortened to March 10, 2020.
Idham returned to the post on June 5, 2020. – The Vibes, September 12, 2021
