KUALA LUMPUR – Seven localities – five in Sabah and one each in Pahang and Kelantan – will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Thursday to September 29, said the National Security Council.
Its director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad in a statement today said the affected Sabah areas are located in Kota Marudu, Keningau, Ranau and Telupid.
“In Kota Marudu, two localities are affected. They are Kg Kirangawan Darat in Tengah, and Pinatau. The other three localities (in Sabah) are Kg Nuntunan Apin-Apin in Keningau; Kg Lungkidau in Ranau; and, the Ladang Bousted Ruku-Ruku workers’ quarters in Telupid.”
The locality in Pahang is Kg Tementong in Cheka Satu, Lipis, while the affected Kelantan area is Kg Bahagia in Batu Mengkebang, Kuala Krai.
The EMCO in two localities in Bebar, Pekan, Pahang, namely Kg Badong Dalam and Kg Permatang Durian, has been extended until September 29.
Rodzi said the EMCO in six localities in Sabah’s Tawau, Ranau and Kota Belud will be lifted tomorrow.
The Tawau locality is Taman Ria Height, while the two in Ranau are Kg Narawang and Kg Mininsalu Baru.
The three areas in Kota Belud are Kg Labuan, Kg Ambong Tolus and Kg Rampayan Laut. – Bernama, September 14, 2021
