KUALA LUMPUR – Parents or guardians should not bring adolescents who are in public and private schools to vaccination centres for their Covid-19 vaccine jab, said the Health Ministry.
Instead, the ministry said, vaccination dates will be given to parents and guardians by the schools or teachers.
The PPV walk-in option is for teenagers who are no longer in school, tertiary students below the age of 18 and those who are homeschooled, said Deputy Health Minister Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali.
He said parents and guardians should not rush to the PPVs as dates will be set by the Education and Health Departments, and teachers are tasked with informing parents of the jab dates.
For those in government boarding schools, appointments will be given to adolescents via their MySejahtera app, with their jabs scheduled in the school or at PPVs nearest to their place of residence.
Dr Noor Azmi said the ministry guarantees that vaccine supplies are sufficient for adolescents and no one will be left behind. – The Vibes, September 23, 2021
