PETALING JAYA – National poet and literary icon Salleh Ben Joned died this morning. He was 79.

His family said he died at 1.21am from heart failure.

“He was experiencing breathing difficulties on Tuesday at his home in Subang Jaya and was admitted to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre,” said his daughter Anna in a message to relatives and friends.

His funeral is being held at 10.30am today at the Masjid Abu Bakar As-Siddiq in Subang Jaya. He will be buried at the USJ 22 Muslim cemetery. – The Vibes, October 29, 2020
