KUALA LUMPUR – An unscheduled water supply disruption in 50 areas around the capital here due to a leaking pipe at the Segambut pump house is expected to be fully resolved by 9pm today.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communications head Elina Baseri said repairs were completed at 5.40pm yesterday, and supply is being restored in stages.
Air Selangor has moved water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical locations like hospitals and dialysis centres, she said in a statement last night.
“Consumers are expected to comply with physical distancing and wear a mask when collecting water from the tankers.”
As at 6am today, supply was 80% restored. – Bernama, October 11, 2021
