A LAMBORGHINI Aventador driven by a foreign national without a valid driving licence was among those reportedly seized by the Kuala Lumpur Road Transport Department (RTD).
Reports said that the 28-year-old was travelling with his girlfriend after visiting a fast-food restaurant in Kepong and was on his way back to Damansara Heights when he was stopped.
The supercar was among 27 vehicles seized during an integrated operation along Jalan Bangsar last night.
City RTD director Hamidi Adam said the haul also included 24 motorcycles and two goods vehicles.
"The vehicle will be seized and taken to the RTD office in Wangsa Maju for further action," he said as reported.
A total 1,627 vehicles were inspected during the operation and action was taken against 211 of them.
"Owners of modified vehicles were issued notices and given 10 days to restore their vehicles to their original condition before reporting to RTD for inspection," he said.
RTD also issued 463 notices for various offences, including driving without a licence, not having a vocational licence, absence of road tax, lack of insurance coverage, and illegal vehicle modifications.
Several enforcement agencies were also involved in the operation. - April 9, 2025
