KUALA LUMPUR – Under Budget 2022, Klang Valley commuters can expect an RM50 monthly pass for rails and buses.

In Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz’s tabling of Budget 2022, he said the RM50 travel pass will allow Klang Valley commuters to travel without limits.

Putrajaya will be allocated RM115 million for this travel pass initiative as well.

Meanwhile, the government allocated RM80 million for the Temporary Assistance for Commuter Buses Fund to benefit operators.

For students travelling on KTMB trains to schools, the government will provide the MyRail5 pass.

This will allow students to travel on these trains for only RM5 a month without limit.

For those living in rural areas in Sabah and Sarawak, Putrajaya will continue the RM209 million subsidy for air transportation. – The Vibes, October 29, 2021
