KUALA LUMPUR – The owner of the Edisi Siasat Twitter account has been asked to make a report and provide evidence regarding their allegation that several ministers, ex-ministers and senior officers of enforcement agencies are involved in misappropriation and corruption.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the account owner should submit said evidence, not just make claims on a social platform without clear proof.
He said 13 investigation papers have been opened over the matter and almost all individuals claimed to be involved in the misconduct, including senior police officers, have given their testimonies.
“The investigation papers were opened after a senior police officer who was alleged (by the Twitter user) to have been involved in the misappropriation lodged a report, and nearly all of them (officers) have submitted their testimonies, while statements will be recorded from the rest to assist investigations.
“After we finish recording statements, we will see how true those allegations are,” said Acryl Sani after the handover ceremony of two combat vehicles to the Federal Reserve Unit at the FRU Base in Cheras here today. – The Vibes, November 9, 2021
