GEORGE TOWN – Police are appealing to the driver of a Toyota Corolla that rammed a Perodua Alza at a junction in Persiaran Bukit Jambul 5, Bayan Lepas yesterday to come forward to help them in their investigation.

Northeast district police chief Soffian Santong advised the motorist to lodge a police report over the 8.48am incident, which was recorded on video for a minute and 18 seconds and has since gone viral.

He said the driver of the Corolla allegedly rammed into the Alza and attempted to overtake the vehicle, but was obstructed by an oncoming car.

The driver of the Alza then alighted from the vehicle and attempted to talk to the driver of the Corolla, but the car sped off.

Soffian said the driver of the Alza had since lodged a police report with the Traffic Department over the incident.

“We have begun investigations into identifying the driver and the person’s whereabouts and we are asking that the person come forward to help us in the matter,” he said. – The Vibes, November 9, 2021
