SHAH ALAM – Another two bodies have been found at a house in Taman Sri Muda here at around 4pm, bringing the toll to six in this residential area alone.
Astro Awani reported Shah Alam police chief Baharudin Mat Taib as saying that the two victims were believed to be related – and were between the ages of 70 and 90.
Earlier, the bodies of four individuals believed to have drowned in floodwaters in Taman Sri Muda were found today. Members of the public and rescue team found two of the bodies at 1am, and another at 5am.
Bernama reported the Fire and Rescue Department as confirming the discoveries, adding that the death toll in Selangor stands at nine so far, with one individual still missing.
Baharudin also confirmed that three of the bodies were taken to Shah Alam Hospital.
Taman Sri Muda and the surrounding residential areas are among the worst-hit locations in Selangor.
There are residents still stuck at their homes without electricity, clean water, and food – unable to leave as the floodwaters have yet to recede completely.
Many have been posting calls for help on social media since Saturday.
