According to residents in Shah Alam and Klang, heavy rain resumed in several areas in those districts at approximately 7:45am, inciting fear that another round of flash floods will hit them.
However, the rain stopped approximately one hour later.
Meanwhile, Kota Kemuning assemblyman V. Ganabatirau has also raised concerns for the authorities to expedite the clean-up work in Taman Sri Muda, one of the worst-hit flood areas in Shah Alam.
Ganabatirau who is also the state Socio-economic Development, Community Welfare and Workers Empowerment Committee chairman said it is to avoid a disease outbreak in the deeply affected neighbourhood.
“We must clean the houses quickly. If not, dangerous diseases may infect the area.
“We can see that it’s about to rain. Therefore, we shouldn’t wait any longer.
“I believe the Shah Alam City Council will manage the debris and rubbish in this area efficiently,” he said in a Facebook video this morning. – The Vibes, December 23, 2021
