KUALA LUMPUR – Taxpayers affected by the flood disaster can apply to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) for deadline extensions, among others.
The IRB said in a statement today that it has extended deadlines for certain tax payments in view of the current floods.
This includes payments of estimated taxes, tax instalments as well as monthly tax deductions (PCB) for employees.
The deadline for payment of estimated taxes (CP204) for December has been extended to January, while the instalment payment deadline for investigation, audit, and civil legal fees for January has been moved to February.
PCB deduction payments (CP38) for December can be remitted by January 31.
Lastly, the timeline for payment of owed taxes can be deferred by applying to the IRB.
Affected taxpayers can do so by sending an email to [email protected] or submit a feedback form here.
Supporting documents required for submission will be based on the merits of each case.
For details, call 03-8911 1000, or contact IRB via Hasil live chat or via a form on its portal. – The Vibes, December 28, 2021
