KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia today logged a lower daily Covid-19 caseload of 2,882 compared to yesterday’s 3,386 cases.
According to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, today’s new cases bring the cumulative infections to 2,764,354.
On the other hand, the Health Ministry recorded 26 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, including three brought-in-dead victims.
Other data points will be updated on CovidNow at 11.59pm today.
Meanwhile, a total of 22,859,803 individuals or 97.7% of the adult population in the country have completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of yesterday.
Based on the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, 23,151,949 individuals or 98.9% of the group have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
For the adolescent population, 87.6% or 2,756,306 individuals aged between 12 and 17 years have completed their vaccination, while 2,847,794 individuals or 90.5% have been given at least one dose of the vaccine.
This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 57,745,456, including 6,329,155 booster doses. – The Vibes, January 2, 2022
