KUALA LUMPUR – The Labour Day holiday slated for today has been automatically brought forward to Wednesday, due to the announcement yesterday that Hari Raya Aidilfitri will be celebrated today, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

This would apply to all states, except for Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan and Johor, as Labour Day fell on a Sunday, which is a working day in these states, he said in a statement late yesterday.

However, it is still up to the respective states’ authorities to make any announcements regarding the declaration of the holiday, he added. – The Vibes, May 2, 2022
