KUALA LUMPUR – Muda’s Dian Lee has denied allegations of being entangled in the Singaporean penny stock crash controversy that saw inflated stock prices of Blumont Group.
Lee, a Muda’s central executive committee member, took to Twitter to debunk the allegations hurled at her.
“I would like to make it unequivocally clear that the Singaporean authorities had never once reached out to my husband or me for clarification or questioning in the case throughout their 10-year investigation.”

Lee said shares from Blumont were traded on the open market as would any other public listed company, adding that attempts to tie her to the controversy would only serve to tarnish and insult investigations and the verdict meted out by Singaporean authorities.
She said the verdict by the Singaporean High Court on Thursday had convicted those in the wrong, which excluded her and her husband Jared Lim.
“The verdict handed down by the Singaporean High Court on May 5, 2022, clearly outlines the perpetrators and the masterminds behind the penny stock case. Neither my husband nor I were remotely implicated.”
Lee added that she and her husband view such accusations seriously and will not hesitate to take action.
Since Lee’s response, PKR’s student wing deputy chair Dharshinee Suresh Kumar has refuted attempts to smear the Muda leader and had wanted to seek clarification.
Baseless and defamatory accusations was made online by the original person who tweeted about the scandal which is by @FreeMsian , all that I asked was for a clarification.
