KOTA KINABALU – Sabah will be implementing the enhanced movement control order in the Telipok settlement and Kg Numbak in Kota Kinabalu effective tomorrow.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the EMCO will last until November 29 based on advice from the Health Ministry and its risk assessment.
“Grocery stores are allowed to operate from 6am to 6pm, while markets can open twice a week (6am to 2pm) to allow residents to get basic necessities.
“One representative from each family is allowed to leave the EMCO area to withdraw money from ATM machines or go to banks with the permission of the police that man the roads to these localities,” he said.
Meanwhile, there are two new Covid-19 clusters in the state today – Plaza in Kota Kinabalu and Jalan Kalabakan in Tawau.
The Plaza cluster has 11 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total to 12. It involves workers at The Shore construction site.
The Jalan Kalabakan cluster has a total of 22 infections (three new ones), also involving construction workers.
Masidi said based on Sabah Health Department reports, the state has 381 new cases, with a total of 23,095 cases.
“Today three deaths were recorded, two in Sandakan and one in Semporna and a total of 566 Covid-19 patients have also been discharged from the hospital.” – The Vibes, November 15, 2020
