KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary Muhammad Hilman Idham has denied speculations that International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and his group will return to PKR.

Hilman, who is Gombak Setia assemblyman, denied that the minister had held meetings and discussions with any PKR leader as previously reported by the media.

“I believe this speculation is designed as an evil strategy to create doubt and suspicion among Bersatu and PN members on his (Azmin) commitment.

“Indeed, Azmin and we; leaders and members who were previously fired from PKR, which is led by dictators, are not directly interested in being with a party that worships greedy people with no direction to preserve the welfare of the people,” he said in a statement today.

Hilman said Azmin had stated that he would focus on working with the Bersatu leadership to implement policies that care for the people, accelerate recovery and ensure sustainable economic growth.

“We will continue to defend the flags of Bersatu and PN for the welfare of the people and the prosperity of the country.”

Yesterday, The Vibes reported that Azmin “can’t remember” who he met and every hotel he visited last week.

He said so when asked about rumours that he met two PKR representatives at a hotel in Petaling Jaya last Wednesday.

Azmin was speculated to have met two PKR representatives allegedly in an attempt to gain “insurance” for his political future.

As soon as news broke over the alleged meeting, he issued a statement two days later, reiterating his commitment to Bersatu, saying that the party is now part of his identity. – The Vibes, June 21, 2022
