SHAH ALAM – Newly minted PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has called on party members nationwide to lodge police reports on Tuesday against former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Making it an important task that must be done by the party within the span of the next four to five months before the looming general election, Rafizi said Najib must be held responsible for playing up racial issues as well as “poisoning” the people.

“We must not allow Najib to ‘syok sendiri’ and ‘poison’ the people. Aren’t you bored?” he asked the lively crowd at the Ideal Convention Centre here.

“This Tuesday, I urge leaders at all levels to lodge police reports nationwide against Najib.

“Enough is enough. Every time he tells a lie, we must not bow to him.”

Saying that Najib is a “coward”, Rafizi said the former Umno president is all talk as he thinks no one is brave enough to confront him.

“He thinks he is free because no one dares to fight him. We must lodge reports because I know he is a coward.

“With every lie and propaganda that he comes up with, we will fight.”

On the second task, Rafizi urged all PKR leaders and members to gear up to face the looming general election, saying that the party machinery must be prepared from now on.

“I will be going on the ground beginning in the first week of August.

“Let’s all go to the states and divisions to meet and fix the machinery. You have been elected and now it is time for you to carry out your responsibilities. Defend the party’s dignity in the election.”

Besides that, Rafizi said that he will propose the establishment and registration of a party co-operative when the central leadership council meets.

“It’s not just a matter of looking after the welfare of the members but we also want to show and prove that our economic agenda is different.” – The Vibes, July 17, 2022
