SEREMBAN – The Negri Sembilan government today announced a RM10 million Covid-19 aid aimed at easing the burden on frontliners and others in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, tabling the state’s budget for next year, said the allocation will be channelled into the state disaster relief trust fund.

He said RM16.6 million has been set aside for the implementation of several initiatives, including raising the rate of general assistance by RM50 for an increase of between RM250 and RM320 in monthly allowance, benefiting 4,600 recipients.

In appreciation of the efforts and sacrifices of 1,862 Quran and Fardu Ain teachers in the state, RM1.3 million is allocated to increase their monthly allowance by a sum of between RM50 and RM100, he said. – Bernama, November 27, 2020
