IPOH – Pakatan Harapan (PH) parties PKR, DAP, and Amanah have signalled that they are willing to work with nemesis Umno to end the Perak menteri besar crisis.

Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak told The Vibes that he last saw the Umno leaders yesterday.

“Yes, I have met with the Umno leaders. We are open to working with them for the benefit of the rakyat to form a formidable strong and stable government. The ball is in their court,” said Farhash.

Earlier today, Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party is willing to realign its political alliances and is not above working with PH to find a solution to the leadership crisis in Perak.

He said this after an audience with Perak ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah this morning.

The menteri besar office here is left vacant after Chenderiang assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu lost the confidence vote in the Perak assembly on Friday.

Meanwhile, Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming tweeted that he was ready to work with anyone for the sake of the state.

“In view of the current political crisis, Perak needs a multiracial, clean, strong, and stable government based on the principle of integrity and good governance. I am prepared to work with anyone who shares this vision.

“Are you ready?” he asked in his post and tagged DAP Malaysia, opposition leader and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Zahid, and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

In a Bernama report yesterday, Perak Amanah chairman Datuk Asmuni Awi was quoted as saying that “nothing is impossible” when it comes to forming a new coalition and state government.

“During these difficult times, we are prepared to work with anybody to form a stable government.” – The Vibes, December 6, 2020
