SHAH ALAM – A new Pakatan Harapan (PH) manifesto is being drafted for the people of Selangor, said caretaker state Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari today.

Speaking at the state’s monthly assembly with civil servants, Amirudin said the list of pledges for the upcoming election will be offered to the public immediately after nomination day.

He added that the state administration had performed well in handling expectations of the PH manifesto from the 2018 general election following the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We tried our best to fulfil (pledges), and what we have done cannot be compared with what has happened in other states,” he told reporters at the Selangor state secretariat building today.

“Whatever we do is in line with our promise, (like) maintaining welfare programmes for the people, as well as amplifying various new initiatives,” he added.

Besides the pandemic, the Gombak MP recounted some of the trials his administration faced during its tenure, including flooding, water woes, and political instability.

He also said that upholding Selangor’s performance as the most developed state and accommodating to various classes of people were several of the challenges faced by the administration.

As such, he stressed on the importance of being meticulous in decision-making for Selangor, as there would otherwise be inconvenience to the people.
