KUALA LUMPUR – It was a case of Nurul Izzah meeting Nurul Izzah when the 24-year-old Nurul Izzah Mohammed Asri, a person with disabilities (PwD), met the prime minister and his daughter Nurul Izzah Anwar recently.

Being a PwD never stopped her, and instead, she became an inspiration to many.

She pursued her dreams of becoming a tailor and after Form 5, she attended a TVET programme where she learnt to sew.

“Nurul did not let her disability stop her and against all odds, she remained focuses and achieved her dreams.

“Indeed the journey of a PwD is not an easy one,” said Nurul Izzah Anwar.

She said all those who doubted tailor Nurul would now have to swallow their words seeing all that she has achieved.

“I have also asked Nurul to make a Baju Melayu for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Baju Kurung for me.

“Her (tailor Nurul) stitching is beautiful, neat and most important, it fits perfectly,” said the prime minister’s daughter.

She urged anyone looking for a good tailor to contact Nurul at 011-7254 8983 or Nurul Izzah Tailor on Intagram and Facebook.

“Nurul is truly a huge pride of Penang,” added Nurul Izzah Anwar. – The Vibes, July 31, 2023
