KUALA LUMPUR – It was a painful moment, but it was something that needed to be done.

Fatihah Salahuddin, the daughter of the late domestic trade and cost of living minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, gathered all her strength when she went to Parliament yesterday to retrieve her father’s nameplate.

She went to the august house using her father’s white shirt to get the nameplate.

“As soon as I stepped into Parliament, I began to cry. It was only like yesterday that we campaigned for my late father in Pulai,” she said in a post on social media.

Netizens who saw the post, which has since gone viral, continue praising the late minister who championed the Rahmah initiatives.

Many offered condolences and words of encouragement to the deceased and the family.
