KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) believes two men, including the son-in-law of former prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, have fled abroad.

Chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said MACC has tried several times to contact the duo, but has been unsuccessful.

“We are issuing a statement after numerous attempts to contact them to cooperate, as they have failed to be present at the MACC office to assist investigations,” he told a press conference after an event here today.

He said a wanted list notice had since been issued for the duo.

Yesterday, MACC issued a statement that they were looking for two local men to assist investigations into a project involving the registration, recruitment, and storage of foreign worker biometric data at a ministry.

MACC said they had tried to contact the two men, who are a businessman and lawyer, directly and also through their respective lawyers. – The Vibes, August 9, 2023
