KUALA LUMPUR – Members of the public have begun flocking to the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here since 5pm to attend the Malaysia Stands with Palestine Rally tonight.

Like a “white sea”, participants came wearing white clothing to show their solidarity with the Palestinians who are suffering from the brutal attacks by the Israeli regime.

The rally, expected to be attended by 20,000 people, is also marked by the waving of Jalur Gemilang and the Palestine flag, besides the continuous chanting of “Free Palestine”.

The rally officially began with mass Maghrib prayers and solat hajat (prayer of needs) to pray for the wellbeing of the people of Palestine, followed by a series of speeches on the history and developments of the Palestine-Israel crisis.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is also scheduled to deliver a special message at the rally. – Bernama, October 24, 2023
