HOSTS Datuk Kamil Othman and Manvir Victor sit down with Evelyn Feroza, an upcoming talent who had to find her own way to finance and promote her singles so far.

As you listen to her story, you can decide for yourself whether we do enough to unearth local creative talent. Musicians usually end up with the shorter end of the stick as they not only have to try to perfect their talents on the fly, but opportunities are hard to come by.

Gone are the days of Malaysian Idol where local talent were discovered and thrived. With new online developments, record label involvement in discovering, promoting and managing artists are few and far between, if they exist at all.

Evelyn’s journey should give many other hopefuls confidence that this is possible, after you hear about the countries she has managed to visit and perform just through her hard work.

Armed with family, friends and a confident manager, she has managed to produce six singles and one video.

As she continues to perform and hone her talents, you can follow her on IG @evieferoza and watch her shows.
