THIS week, Artizens’ Datuk Kamil Othman and Manvir Victor sat down with Joanna Gan, the founder and organiser of MIFFest since its inception in 2017.

She explains the idea behind the festival and shares some of the inroads Malaysian movies have made abroad thanks to being featured in this festival.

Artizens continues to push the envelope and promote more inclusivity. The programme hopes policymakers note that the industry needs more leeway to express and promote itself. This is especially so that global financing is available to them with due process.
